Enormous Masai Mara-Striking Contrast
Masai Mara reveals again. Now with striking contrast.
Unusual to witness in other wildlife reserves. But a common sight in Masai Mara.
And that sight is of carcasses of animals preyed upon for feed. In this post I
showcase, pictorially, this contrast of captivating topography alive with joyous
animals on one side and perished ones on other side.
Lioness savoring life
African eland having good time
Other side a buffalo fell prey to mighty animals
Further a lively view of gazelles enjoying
Pleasant sight of busy ones in having fodder
Then appears unpleasant view of perished life gone as prey
Next moment seen antelopes having fun
Delightful sight again
Once more the ghastly view of giraffe carcass consumed by ruthless predators
Soonafter the happy scene of life appears
Sweet gestures of monkey making all smile
Then the sad sight of a life lost to vultures
A perished carcass. One more life lost. But I admired the lively spirit of vulnerable animals for showing positive attitude and living life to the fullest.
*Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya is popularly called as Masai Mara. And locals
call it just Mara. Masai Mara got its name from Masai tribe who inhabited the region
for ages and named it Mara that means spotted land.
